Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
He was sentenced to day from 4 years to 10 years .It all started when we ran out of gas and he started walking with a gas can .I was in the car sleeping.The bradford county sheriffs department came along .They found drug paranellia on me and then searched the car .The car owner wasnt there and they didnt have a search warrant .He is a felon and they found a rusted old gun that we found that went through the flood that didnt work and and didnt have all the parts .They didnt arrest us they let us go and we got papers in the mail .Is that legal

Is it legal for them to send paper work regarding your arrestl? Yes.
If the police find drug paraphernalia on you, then that might be enough to give them probable cause to search the vehicle. However, to better answer your question I would need to here more facts concerning your case.
