Do I need an attorney to probate a WILL?

Not necessarily. Go to the county register of wills in the county where the decedent lived. They usually have all of the forms available, and are a source of good information. You do not need an attorney. If, however, the estate is on the large side, involves real estate that will pass to someone other than a surviving spouse, or there is a likelihood that someone will challenge the will, its not a bad idea to consult an attorney.
