Legal Question in Disability Law in Pennsylvania

hiring an employee with diabetes

I have been employed for a hospital for nine years. Prior to employment I made supervisor aware of incidents that could occur and how to handle them by letter that I was asked to write explaining certain situations and how to prevent them. I made several complaints about not being able to eat at certain times which was in letter, and caused me to have numerous emergency room visits. One morning I was unable to eat breakfast and this caused me to a have low sugar reaction in front of a patient. I was grabbed by a co supervisor (which states in letter not to do because I get aggitated and no body got me any orange juice which would have prevented sugar from going lower.)

All employees were made aware of how to handle such situations besides letter. I did get aggetated and was yelling. The next day I was placed to work in a room by myself and this lasted a month. I was then told I was an unfit person and unable to work with public and is being transfered to another department. Besides being humiliated and threatened my documentation was not in file that was giving to hospital prevoius to employment. Is this allowed to be done if employer was notified about my disability and how to handle it and in return wasn't handled prope

Re: hiring an employee with diabetes

the issue is whether the employer was aware of a disability and wheteher reasonable accomadations were made. your facts do not specify your actual disability other then low blood sugar level did you ever get a letter from a doctor indicating what restrictions there was on your work so the employer could make a reasonable accomadation. you should speak with a lawer about the situation since there is not enough information
