Can i obtain custody of my cousin without going to court

I would need more facts to be able to properly answer your question. But, here is what I can tell you. Custody agreements are not enforceable unless made part of a court order. Cousins generally do not have standing to sue for custody. For you to be able to sue for custody, you would have had to have had custody of the child for the past 12 months. If you haven't, then the court won't consider your petition for custody. If the parents are willing to do so, you may be able to get temporary guardianship papers drawn up.
