Legal Question in Disability Law in Pennsylvania

In the state of PA, I was terminated from a job with no explanation as to the exact cause of termination.

I had been going to therapy and taking medication prescribed to me by a psychiatrist used for treating Bipolar Disorder during my term of employment, at one point was on short term disability. The psychiatrist however hasn't diagnosed me, as we are still finding out what I need.

When I returned to work from leave, they did little to accommodate my situation. I had a coworker that served as an aggressor trigger. I had asked to be put in a different department, they did not do that, and then within 2 weeks hired 6 or more new temp agents. (Which means that could have been done)

I asked to not perform a task that would lead to us being within a workspace near each other, and they would not accommodate for that. The only accommodation that they made was to switch my schedule, though we still had intersecting days that required us to work the same shift. They had enough people to accommodate replacing that task and giving me a task that kept us apart.

During my last day of employment, they asked me to perform the task, initially I was being a little quirky about my work, but I said I would comply and do it right. 3 hours later, they fire me.

Do I have a case?

You should speak with an attorney to see if discrimination based on a disability or perceived disability was the basis for your termination. The employer has to make a reasonable accomodation for your disability if feasible. But the Employer must made aware of any limitations your condition prevents you from performing etc. This is usually communicated by way of a doctor's letter to the employer.
