Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania

What would you advise?

I have filed a chapter 13 in the state of PA and can no longer keep up with the payments for the mortgage AND the trustee. Can you please tell me what options I have. I think I need to get rid of the house and just start over by filing Chapter 7. Is this possible and if I give up my house, will I still be able to keep my travel trailer I have on a permanent site in a campground? I plan on just staying there until I can get ''back on my feet''. Thanks!

Re: What would you advise?

Does the house have value over and above the mortgage? If so, you will have to sell the house in the Chapter 13 case and claim your exemption only because the balance would be available for distribution to your creditors. If not, then you may simply convert to a Chapter 7 and allow the bank to foreclose. Whether or not you may retain your travel trailer and campground site depends on whether they are within your exemptions. Your own attorney will be better able to advise you.
