Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania
Can I, an authorized user on a credit card account, pay that credit card off in a Chapter 13 without being the primary card holder? My husband has a high security/clearance job that we don't want to jeopardize with him filing.

As far as the credit card company is concerned, they do not care where they get that money. But in a chapter 13, the card is listed along with the other debts and that credit card company must be treated the same as all the other credit card companies. If your husband wants to reaffirm the debt, that is up to him. Nothing prevents YOU from paying the debt off in full, but I would do it voluntarily after the bankruptcy is over.
I assume that your husband has a bankruptcy attorney. If so, he really needs to talk to his bankruptcy attorney about the pros and cons of doing this. I do not have access to information regarding the debts and assets in the bankruptcy estate and its not ethical for me to intervene and second guess the bankruptcy attorney when I do not have all the same information.
