i am divorced for 6mo and considering a chapter 7.my ex spouse and i have joint obligations and i do not want to have the creditors affect her,can she be a co defendant on my bankruptcy?

Credit reports are like social security numbers. They only run with the person whose social it is.
Your bankruptcy will not effect her. But your failure to pay the creditors will. Are you behind in the debt now? If so, that effects her credit.
She can file, but the 2 of you can't file together because you are no longer married.
I would be happy to speak with you and her on a free initial basis.
