Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania
Bankruptcy - employment agreement related judgement
I was at default judgement against my former employer for the breach of employment agreement.
Can I file bankruptcy, if yes, then what type of bankruptcy would this be considered as ?

Re: Bankruptcy - employment agreement related judgement
You would be eligible to seek complete relief for this type of debt (called "discharging" the debt in bankruptcy terminolgy) by filing either chapter 7 or chapter 13. I recommend most people file under chapter 7 because it is cheaper and only lasts about 5 months. Chapter 13 will require you to repay a portion of your debts and be in a plan of reorganization for 3 to 5 years. Please feel free to call me to discuss this in more detail. ph. (800) 303-0720
