Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania
Bankruptcy after marriage
I was recently married and have a great deal of debt. Now I'm unemployed and must try to make ends meet. Can I file for bankruptcy and not include my new wife in this process.
My total unsecured debt is over 15,000.

The threat of bankruptcy ofetn is a more effectice tool than actually declaring. Yes you can file yourself, your wife will need to provide information to the court. Negotiating with creditors often can result in debts of 10-30 cents on the dollar. I offer free consultations.
