Bill's and Bankruptcy
My husband and I got behind on bill's and we need some help.A X-landlord has a judgement(from 1992 or 3)can that be removed? Plus some med,elec,phone bill's etc... I'd say about $10,000 in dept.How much does it cost to do bankruptcy,how do you find a lawyer? We have harassment phone call's + letter's 20x a day (We had a car repoed ?)We try to pay our bill's but we just can't get caught up.Please,if you can give any info I THANK YOU! PS. How long does it take for something to come of your credit report + once the time is up can they put it back on your report? (it's still unpaid)Can we have it removed ourselves? Thank you.

Filing Chapter 7 (liquidation) bankruptcy immediately stops collection activity and will eliminate virtually all debts (exceptions are things like taxes and student loans).
