This is something of an interesting question and I'm not sure if I can answer it. If it is necessary that you be bonded for work, it may be that you would be protected by the non-discrimination provisions of the bankruptcy act. However, if it is for self-employment as a contractor for jobs that require you to obtain bonding, it may be that the bonding company can refuse you. I think you should probably seek the advice of an attorney local to your area and give them the specifics.
