Chapter 7
In PA - If I file for chapter 7 and it gets discharged in the next 6 mos., what happens if I win a medical malpractice lawsuit (in the next 1-2 years). Do I get to keep my winnings?

You have to list the cause of action in your bankruptcy petition as an asset of your bankruptcy estate. You only get to keep the amount that is exempt and the rest is distributed to your creditors to pay your debts.
