Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania

debt charged off?

I filed for bankruptcy last year based on $68,000 of debt on 3 credit cards. The one I owed 40,000 to disputed the debt, and I negotiated with their attorney (through my attorney) to repay $8,300 of that debt. On my credit report, this debt is still listed as $40,000 ''charged off''-

Since the time that I agreed to repay this $8,300 at the rate of 100 per month, I have become unemployed. Am I required to repay this debt? If it is a ''real'' debt, why is it not listed on my credit report?

Re: debt charged off?

i am completely unable to understand your question

bankruptcy is intented in most situations to wipe out your obligation to repay credit card debt

you need to sit down with a bankruptcy attorney, and all of your documents, and figure this out.
