i bought a house with my now ex boyfriend. i live in the house. it is going up for foreclosure. the house is in both names can i file bankruptcy on the house and what will happen can i keep the house or will i lose it

A bankruptcy might help. If you wanted to keep the house you would need continuing income to make the mortgage payments and payoff past due amounts in 3-5 years. I offer free consultations.

If the house and mortgage are in your name, you may file a Chapter 13.
You should contact experienced bankruptcy counsel well before the sale to avoid the loss of your home.
