Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania
My husband and I are separated. I got scammed for $40,000 trying to start a business to support myself. Can I file for bankruptcy for my personal debt and not affect his credit?

Your filing will not effect his credit. Credit is based on the social security number which is separate for each person, just like the credit report.

Absolutely. However, if he is a co-debtor, then he will still be reponsible for the debt. Please feel free to contact my offfice for a free consultation.
