I am claiming bankruptcy but i have a lawsuit pending. I was hit by a garbage truck a couple of years ago and my case is still pending. Can i still file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy?

Yes, but you have to disclose this potential source of assets. The trustee will be interested in it as a source of funds for your creditors.
