Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania
Mortgage Company - After Bankruptcy
I filed for Bankruptcy in March 01 and it went through in July 2001. I surrendered my property through the bankruptcy, but the mortgage company sold the mortgage and now both mortgage companies appear on my credit report...so it looks like I have $93,000 on my bankruptcy and $93,000 as a bad debt on my credit report. I had no idea it was even on there. Do I have any recourse? How can I get the 2nd mortgage company off of my record...or can I?

Send a letter to the credit reporting agencies with a copy of your schedules and that should fix it.
