Can an executer of an estate file bankruptcy, for that estate.
My wife passed away, the house was in her name
I have been in dispute with the mortgage co. for over a year
Now they want more $$$$ than I have to bring the past due current
Can I file bankruptcy to protect this house???

If you are the heir, you may want to complete the transfer the house into your name and then file a Chapter 13 (reorganization) bankruptcy to get additional time to make up the arrearage owed to the mortgage company.
