Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania
I'm from PA. My ex-husband told me that he is filing bankruptcy this Friday. We've been divorced since August and have been trying to sell the house since September. We are to split proceeds or loss after sale. I have been making the mortgage payments. The mortgage is current and in both of our names. Currently the house is vacant. Will it affect credit? No offers at this point, but will this impact the sale of the house if he's in the middle of a bankcruptcy case when we do receive an offer?

Hello:
Once the bankruptcy is filed, the house becomes part of the Bankruptcy Estate and permission is needed to sell the house.
