Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania
Pay a utility bill after foreclosure?
I was dicharged from personal bankrptcy in Dec. of 2001. I then foreclosed on my home and moved out in July 2002 and have not paid my water/sewer/trash bill to the boro. I was living in since my discharge. If I do not pay this bill what will happen to me. Will a lien be put against the foreclosed property or will something happen to me?

Re: Pay a utility bill after foreclosure?
If the creditor is the borough and it is a water/sewer bill, that debt automatically becomes a lien on the property. It is not a personal obligation of yours. The borough will be paid from a future owner, probably the mortgage company.
