Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania
Private Student Loans
Can the non-federal loans be included in a bankruptcy claim? I have about 13k in credit debt, no job, and currently not late on any payments but may become late this month. If the additional 47k cant be included then should I even consider bankruptcy? I may be filing as soon as tomorrow with a lawyer recommended on the totalbankruptcy website.

Re: Private Student Loans
If there is no urgency in filing it may be a good idea to wait. I expect that there are going to be major legislative changes to bankruptcy law over the next few months. Currently no student loans can be discharged except in circumstances of extreme hardship.
