Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania

Can I safe my home

I was put in foreclosure and made a forebearance arrangement with my mortgage company. They state that they did not receive the last payment. I sent a replacement payment as soon as I was notified. They now state that they will not accept the payment and the foreclosure has been started again. If I can send them a $2000.00 payment within one week, they will instart my forebearnce plan. There is no way for me to come up with that much money in such a short amount of time. Will filing for chapter 13 save my home?

Re: Can I safe my home

Chapter 13 allows you to repay the arrears over five years. As long as you do not have a sheriff's sale scheduled, you have the time to retain an attorney and file. That is the most definite, most convenient and cost efficient method to save your home.

I trust this helps, but do not hesitate to call or E-mail on a free intial basis.
