Can a constable serve papers and embarrass me at my place of employment?

One can generally be served at their place of employment.
What was done to embarrass you and how does this relate to bankruptcy?

You may be served anywhere you may be found. having said that, it is possible the creditor or colleciton agent could be penalized for harassment.
In any event, you should speak with an attorney ASAP to assure your rights are protected regarding the suit.
