sheriff's sale
a judgement holder has filed a sheriff's sale on my house even though I have a 1st and 2nd mortgage. What do I do?

Well, the judgment holder would only take the property subject to the first and second mortgages. That may or may not be a smart move on their part but it doesn't help you much. You may want to consider a Chapter 13 or Chapter 7 Bankruptcy.
