Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania

second time

In Sept., 1990, I filed for bankruptcy in Ohio. Things got better and better, then I lost my job for a while, had to sell the house and things got worse. Major, major car repairs, along with costly monthly prescriptions, etc, etc. I ended up buying a 20 yr. old mobile home in a dumpy little park in PA. My take home pay is approx. $1100.00 a month. My bills come to about $970.00. I had to use credit cards for car repairs, medicines, most everything because after the bills got paid there was nothing left for necessities. Can I file again? I'm at the end of my rope. I work full time, but there just isn't enough to handle high utilites, rent, credit cards etc. I don't know what else to do.

Re: second time

Yes - generally you can file for chapter 7 bankruptcy every 6 years. If your last bankturpcty was discharged over 6 years ago, you may be able to file again. You might also have the option of filing a Chpater 13 bankruptcy. If you want to discuss these options further, please contact me.
