Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania
How much time does a utility company have to submit a Proof of Claim?
How much time does a utility (electric/gas) company have to submit a Proof of Claim to the United States Bankruptcy Courts? I have been told since we are an unsecured creditor, we should have it submitted within 30 days of the bankruptcy filing date. Is this true? Please advise.

Re: How much time does a utility company have to submit a Proof of Claim?
Creditors receive a notice from the court about the filing of the bankruptcy. The court sets a claim bar date. I have never seen it set for within 30 days of the filing of the initial bankruptcy petition. Creditors do not always get their notice within 30 days!
