Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania
Will I be able to file bankruptcy?
Will I be able to keep my home or be able to file bankruptcy? I'm a compulsive gambler. I have alot of credit card debt because of this. I have alot of cash advances. It has been 2 months since I've took out any money. I have stopped gambling. Please help. I've been paying my bills. I don't see any way out than to file bankruptcy.

From the little information given, you probably could file for bankruptcy. But a further analysis would be needed to give a concrete yes or no answer
Re: Will I be able to file bankruptcy?
If your debts are such that you are no longer able to pay them you can file bankruptcy. Although there are certain debts that cannot be eliminated when you file bankruptcy such as illegal or improper intenional act, gambling would not fall into one of those categories.
Generally, there is no reason for you to have to give up your home unless your income has been reduced to the point that you are not able to pay your mortgage and any arrears (if you have any) even with the reduction or elimination of the credit card debt.
Above all, however, you must deal with your gambling problem. Solving your current debt problem with a bankruptcy will probably be useless it you return to gamblins.
