Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania
My name is Abraham Otero and I am an office manager for a dental practice heres my dilema:
we would like to insulate our office from liability incurred by our independent contractors when they are involved in a malpractice action involving a procedure that they performed. all of our independent contratcors have a contract we would like to add this additional clause to it . Which would be the correct and legal way of correcting our contract?
1 Answer from Attorneys
You could propose an amendment to the existing independent contractor agreements which includes the applicable limitation of liability, however depending upon the terms of the existing agreements the contractors may have no obligation to accept the amendment.
There may be other options depending upon your current agreement - feel free to contact my office to discuss.
