How to add a partner to LLC

I have registered a LLC in Delaware a couple of years back. I have not done any business yet but I am planning to start doing business this year and I want to add a partner. How do I add him as a partner?

Re: How to add a partner to LLC

Check the secretary of states website for Delaware and you should be able to find some forms to help you. If you need additional help I or another attorney that post here would be glad to help for a fee. Additionally, you and your partner should consider drafting a partnership agreement so that each of you knows were her or she stands.

First, since you haven't done any business yet and live in PA this may be a good time to sit down with an attorney and determine whether you should have a Delaware LLC.

Just because forms are available on the internet doesn't mean they are the right forms for you.

Do you have an operating agreement?
