Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania
I am having an isue with a contract with T-mobile. I asked for the contact address for the legal dept at T-mobile and was told that the legal dept would only respond to letters from lawyers/law firms. Is T-mobile allowed to set forth such policies?

I suppose T-Mobile can insulate its legal department however it chooses - just like it doesn't have to supply its customers with a full telephone directory for every T-Mobile employee. The point, however, is that you want to resolve a contract issue, and the "legal department" may not be the best place to go.
Ask to speak to a supervisor or manager above the customer service representative you are speaking to; many times, middle management has the authority to bend the rules as you desire. If you DO reach the legal department, expect them to cite you the chapter and verse of your contract as a reason for NOT doing what you want. The legal department doesn't give a hoot about customer retention; the customer service department does. Now, which would you rather call?
Best of luck to you.
