Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania
I live and work in PA. I currently own an independent executive recruiting business in the form of an LLC. I am considering doing painting contractor work on the side as well. May I use the same LLC name and entity to conduct business as a painting contractor? I will need to obtain a contractor permit and liability/property damage insurance. Please advise and thanks in advance.

As a Franchise Attorney I can only say the answer depends on how strongly you believe in following IRS regulations. The IRS wants you to have a separate business for each business you conduct. That means one for executive recruiting and another for painting. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
