Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania

mechanic's lien

My ex-husband filed a claim against me for a mechanic's lien for $47,000. He is neither a contractor or subcontractor. We have been divorced since April 2000. We have 2 children together. He is trying to collect monies from my home I purchased in August 2004 claiming he did work to it which he did not. He is upset because I filed a claim against him for child support which he is not paying. Also, he was supposed to be disabled at the time this work was allegedly done. He is sending me emails and calling me trying to settle. In on e email he asked for $2500. On my voicemail, he stated he won't settle for less than $3800. Is there any merit to this bogus claim? Also what form can I use to defend against and object to the claims without utilizing an attorney? response to the claims

Re: mechanic's lien

Speak with an attorney. Among other claims if what you say is true you may be able to pursue your ex for filing a frivolous claim.
