Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania
Meeting while unemployed
I am currently laid off from a non-profit due to lack of financial support. Three of the board members want me to come into town, I leave an hour away, and discuss the finances of the organizations. Is this classified as working? Should I be compensated?

Re: Meeting while unemployed
You asked about obligations while laid off.
You are not obligated to do anything as long as you are laid off. If the employer would like you to make a presentation they can either call you back, at which time you can accept to decline, or they can hire you as a consultant.
Regards,
Roger
