Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania
My organization was purchased by another. Apparently in their agreement, they included a non complete clause that the former company would not hire us in their retained businesses. I am trying to relocate to another area and there are many job opportunities with my former employer, but I'm told they can not hire me for 18 months due to this clause. Is this correct if I quit my current job and no longer work for the new company?

As a Franchise Attorney I can only say the following. It's not possible to interpret what the agreement says without seeing the precise wording. Just a few words here and there can make all the difference. Do you have (or can you obtain) the agreement? Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
