Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania
overpayed
I was overpayed on my direct deposit. I told the payroll department and she said that it was a mistake, and that everone who got direct doposit that week got overpayed triple the amount. I was the first one to tell her and she said that it would be out by the end of the day. I asked some co-workers on their money status and they said that the money was out, a month later mine is still in there! thoughts?

Re: overpayed
You asked about overpayment.
you should bring the matter up to the payroll department again. My suggestion would be to make a check payable to them rather than to allow them to deduct the funds. I wouldn't want anyone screwing around with my bank account.
The money may not be kept and in fact if the company realizes you did not return the funds it would probably be cause for discipline.
Doing the right thing usually isn't easy.

Roger
