Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania
My partners and I bought a restaraunt turnkey Over 13 weeks ago. There is a small arcade with six games. Our issue is we want to get rid of them but they don't belong to us. The prior owner told us the owner would come in monthly and empty them and give her a percentage. We don't have any contact info for this guy but two of the machines are broken and we just want them gone so we can reutilize the space. Any ideas

When the owner of the arcade machines comes in, simply tell him to remove the machines. Unless he has a written contract (which the seller should have told you about) he has no right to keep the machines on your property. If he fails to remove the machines, you probably should seek legal counsel rather than simply. Throwing them away or selling them. Alternatively, you can remove the machines from your restaraunt and store them somewhere, and once you find out this guy's identity, you can write him and charge him for storage fees.
As a Franchise Attorney I basically agree with the other attorney answer. Either wait for the onwer of the games to make an appearance or consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
