Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania
We represented a company that manufactures gummed tape. We took that product into Amazon.com who had never used or saw the product before . We sold Amazon on using gummed tape and set up a distributor network to service the various ware house.. ama zon is noe the largest user of gummed tape in the world. We set this program up 3 years ago. I should mention that we make a gummed tape dispenser which tied into the use ogf the gummed tape. This week The tape maker cut us out and went direct to our distributors. Is that legal?

As a Franchise Attorney I can say the following. It really depends on what your contract says with the tape maker. There are exclusive as well as non-exclusive distribution arrangements. Hopefully you had an attorney draw up a well-worded contract before embarking on this venture. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney for specific advice.

I concur withthe coments of attorney Murphey. Review your contracts to see what it says.
