Resigning as a Officer of a Corporation

How can I legally have my name as V.P. of a corporation removed from the corprate books? Will a resignation letter relief me from the company's liabilities.

Depending on the nature of your duties at the Corporation your written resignation is sufficient. However, if you personally signed on any obligations your responsibility will continue. Usually officers have no personal liability of obligation or actions of the corporate entity. However, I suggest you review your duties and the reason for resignation with a lawyer to make sure.
