Re: Selling a Business Name
It is possible to sell a name of an entity. However, I suggest you obtain the services of a lawyer to assist you. Depending on how the name is registered will reflect whether it is saleable. A purchaser has to be careful as the name may be available without purchasing it. If you have a trademark or similar registration such as the filing of a corporation the name can be sold. Get a legal opinion before selling or purchasing such a name.
