Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania

Signature of checks

I am retired and help my cousin by doing word processing for his business from my home. Recently he asked me if I would be willing to sign checks in his name upon his request while he is out of the area. Is there a need to protect my self legally and how do I do this?

Re: Signature of checks

What you describe sounds like forgery. Why doesn't he add you as a signatory to the bank account or leave you with a supply of signed blank checks? If he does not want to do either of those things, but wants you to sign his name, red flags should be going up and I would not do it.
