signing your rights away
if a co. makes you sign a paper stateing that you will not quit an go to work for some other co. for a period of time is that leagle are they not forceing you to sign your rights away what if another co. offered you better wages ect.for doing the same type of work and can they do any thing if you change your mind and what if they go to work for a individule insted of a co.

This is called a non-compete clause..and it depends on the terms of the contract and what benefits both parties derive from this contract. I would recommend consulting with an attorney to review your situation as soon as possible!
