sons get burned
my brother and i worked for parents in family business. i for 26 years brother for 18 full time out of high school. promised family business and now to bad parents going to sell and we get not a thing.about 11 years ago forced into signing on as 1% partners to save money. never received 1%.i lost workmens comp.they said they would take care of me and my family if some thing would happen to me .not so i have had a number of opperations. and no help if i did not work no pay.forced to work with broken arm,leg in cast, torn legiments in right knee twice and the last 2 and a half years worked with bad back pain due to torn disks l4,l5 s1 doctors wanted to fuse it.i could not do it because of the lose of pay. i have been taking oxycone,vicoden for about 2 years now so i can deal with the every day pain and now forced to take a new job else where.we had a auto body shop and used car lot. i was forced to do the body work which i believe and doctors destroyed my back.is there any legal action i have.it has been about 1month now into my new job parents are about to sale the business and the land .

You asked about a family owned business where you have been cut out.
There are claims for recovery but you would need to demonstrate where there were promises and what those promises were. Theories such as promissory estoppel, unjust enrichment, and various labor laws may come into play. It is important that you act on any potential claim quickly.
