Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania
Starting out a not-for-profit organization
I would like to know if there is a suggested procedure to set up a non-stock based, not-for-profit org. I also need to reserve the company name. What forms would I need and is there a cost? Also, do I need specific Pennsylvania state laws included in my articles of incorporation? Do I need to pay to reserve the name before filing the articles of incorporation? Thank you for any information.

You can find helpful information at http://www.dos.state.pa.us/corps/site/default.asp. Good luck--and greetings from a former Washington Countian. I plan to make it across the state to Shorty's in time for lunch tomorrow!
