being sued for $1100.00
I owe my former employer $1100.00...he wants the payment in full. I tried to resolve the issue by asking if I can pay back over a period of time with a down payment but he refuses and asks for the payment in full. i do not deny that i owe him the money, i just cannot pay him in full...now he is trying to sue me over this. what is going to happen when he sues me?

Re: being sued for $1100.00
You asked about repaying a debt.
Depending on what was the underlying debt represents (a loan, overpayment, proceeds of theft, etc.) then the law would provide distinct remedies.
The fact that you agree to repay is as good as the creditor is going to get. If applicable, then the judge could order payments as low as $35 per week. The judge may even be irritated at his bringing a matter where you have already agreed to repay.
Keep track of what you are saving for payment, and keep records of your attempts to repay.

Roger
