Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania

Witholding wages

MY employer is refusing to pay my wages for some error made in the local office. I was under the impression that it was illegal for an employer to with hold wages for any reason. Is this true?

Re: Witholding wages

An employer can not withold wage payment. If wages remain unpaid for thirty days, a law suit can be instituted and a twenty five percent penalty can be imposed. I suggest you consult with legal counsel. The employer is still free to terminate you in the absence of an employment contract. Gerald Hershenson 215-579-9390
