confidentiality issue

Recently in a hospital, the unit I was on had a privacy issue ans a call list of people that I would accept calls from. A person, concerned about me, called to see if I was admitted there, the hospital switchboard said yes, on third floor, and then from the unit, call was patched through to me. Were me rights violated?
