Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Pennsylvania

Fight

A friend of mine had a going away party, and ther was a man there that was getting out of hand and asked to leave numerous times. when the owner of the house asked him to leave he punched him and nocked him out. He now needs recunstructive surgery and was hurt very badly. This was on his property. Can he sue him?
