Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Pennsylvania

Is FMLA time used automatically while on short term disability for chronic illne

I have a chronic illness that I have filed for my full 26 weeks of short term disability. I have received the paid 60%benefits for those 26 weeks. I received a letter stating I must return to work or I will be terminated. I am still sick but can't afford to loose my job so I am returning anyway. For treatments which I have no sick time left for would I still have any FMLA time left? I dont want to be fired for getting the necessary medical treatment I require. A day here and there, not more consecutive time. My doctor filled out the short term and fmla paperwork at the same time just in case I needed it when I went out on disability. I never actually asked to use any of the fmla time? Do I still have it?

You may want to get a book titled Your Rights In the Workplace by Nolo

Press the leading publisher of self help law books. It's one of the best

books for the general public that I've seen covering employee's rights in

the workplace in an easy to read and understand format. It has an entire chapter on Family and Medical Leave and what your rights are. It can help you determine whether this

is worth pursuing or not. It can be found here:
