Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Pennsylvania

Harrasment

My son is part of an IEP program (assisted learning) and was having difficulty with a substitute teacher.. After numerous phone calls to the school regarding this issue I finally had him pulled from the class until his regular teacher returned. It took a mediator at this last meeting to intervene. Ultimately during this time period his life persay was miserable and so was mine.. it took everything to get him even to go. Since then we have meet and have come to a resolution. Prior to the meeting I was served with a summons to appear in court for his tardiness, and now I have received a phone call from his gym teacher stating that he is not going to class. when asked how long this was going on I was told for awhile, I asked what days his classes were he could not tell me he would have to look it up in his schedule and finally he indicated that he was not in class yesterday (Sunday). It is as though I am getting bits and pieces of a story here and there instead of addressing all issues at one time, and it is constant as though they are nit picking every little thing he does wrong. What can I do? and is this a form of harassment?

Re: Harrasment

He wasn't in school on Sunday? Is he required to be in school on Sundays?

If your son has an IEP, then there are specific procedures which must be followed in these types of situations prior to going the "summons" route.

Feel free to email me and let me know what school district you're talking about, what your son's identified disability is (that causes him to be subject to an IEP), and any other detailed information.
